Sheila Miyoshi Jager

Sheila Miyoshi Jager received her Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Chicago. She is an Associate Professor of East Asian Studies at Oberlin College. She is the author of Narratives of Nation-Building in Korea: A Genealogy of Patriotism (M.E. Sharpe, 2003) and (with Rana Mitter) Ruptured Histories: War, Memory and the Post-Cold War in Asia (Harvard University Press). She has published in numerous journals including, Journal of Asian Studies, New Literary History, Public Culture, positions: east asia cultures critique and Japan Focus.
