Victor Gischler’s novels include Gun Monkeys (Edgar Award finalist), Shotgun Opera (Anthony Award nominee), Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse, Vampire A Go-Go, and The Deputy. He also created the infamous Deadpool Corps for Marvel comics and just concluded a 2 year exclusive engagement writing Marvel’s best-selling X-Men title. He’s now writing a new series featuring the character “Spike” in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe for Dark Horse Comics.
His novels have been translated into Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Japanese, Spanish and Turkish. Gun Monkeys, Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse and The Deputy are currently being developed in Hollywood for feature film adaptation, and he just sold his first original screenplay. Gischler earned his Ph.D. in English at the University of Southern Mississippi, where they beat him with rolled up newspapers and fed him raw liver. He is a world traveler and Walt Disney World theme park junkie. He lives in Baton Rouge with his beautiful college professor wife Jackie and eight-year-old son Emery.
