Jane Bradley

Jane Bradley’s latest novel, You Believers, is based on the true story of Peggy Carr who went missing in Wilmington, NC, and it tells the story of the ensuing seven-month search for her, led by Monica Caison and CUE. It is a cathartic story of casual evil and of how the worst things can be faced so that we might not only survive, but grow. Bradley is the author of two acclaimed story collections, Are We Lucky Yet? and Power Lines which was cited as a “Notable Book” by The New York Times Book Review. She had written a novella, Living Doll, used in many intern graduate programs for those training to work with emotionally dysfunctional children, and a screenwriting text, Screenwriting 101: Small Steps While Thinking Big. She has won numerous awards for her work, including an NEA Individual Artists Fellowship and an Ohio Arts Council Fellowship. Originally from Chattanooga, she currently is a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Toledo.
